CALL (530) 842-3507 TO SCHEDULE YOUR NEXT APPOINTMENT
During this difficult time, accessibility to health care providers remains of utmost importance. Because of this, we strive to offer care that is efficient, secure, and easy to use for our patients. We have adopted a new platform, doxy.me (pronounced Doc See Me) with which to provide telehealth visits to our Clinic providers.
Contact your provider’s office to schedule an appointment. They will schedule the time/date of your appointment and will ask you for your preferred contact method (email or text message)
Doxy.me offers the “easiest telemedicine solution” available from your computer or mobile device. You do not need to download any mobile apps or any computer programs. All that is needed is a camera-enabled device (computer, laptop, mobile device, tablet, etc.), connection to the internet, and a supported web browser (Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari). Patients do not create accounts or download any software. All they need to do is click on the provider’s unique waiting room link and “check in.”
All data is encrypted, patient sessions are anonymous, and no patient is stored on the platform. Your provider documents your visit in the Clinic’s Electronic Health Record just as they would during a normal office visit. Doxy.me uses AES cipher with 128-bit keys to encrypt audio/video, and HMAC-SHA1 to verify data integrity.
15 minutes before your scheduled appointment, you will receive a text/email with a hyperlink to your provider’s waiting room. You do not create an account to see your provider. You simply click on the invitation link, answer a few questions, and then your call will start when your provider is ready.
- Follow the link and you will be prompted to enter your name and to allow access to your camera
- After allowing camera access, hit “check in” and you will enter the virtual waiting room
You are now ready for your visit! Your visit will begin as soon as your provider is ready.
Most visits are completed within 15 minutes. However, additional time may be needed to troubleshoot if technical difficulties arise on the patient’s or provider’s end.
While Doxy.me is free of charge to use. Your provider will bill out your visit as normal through the Clinic Billing Department. Insurances will be billed whenever appropriate.
How do I get rid of an echo?
To get the best sound quality try using headphones, reducing the volume of speakers, or move the microphone away from your speakers.
How can I improve my video quality?
To get the best video quality try restarting your computer or device before your visit; if you are using Wi-Fi, be close to your Wi-Fi router and make sure no other parties are on the network using your bandwidth, and be sure not to have a lot of browsers open; if you are using a computer, make sure there are no high intensity programs running on your computer.
No. We continue to offer on-demand, non-urgent care appointments with Charity Bradley, FNP, and Christa Fournier, FNP through Fairchild Express Care 7 days a week from 8am to 8pm. This telemedicine program replaces in-person Clinic office visits.
