Make a Difference in the Care of Your Community
HOW YOU CAN HELP
Whether you choose to give of your time, talents or resources, you can make a difference in health care in our community. You can help Fairchild Medical Center and our team of physicians, providers and staff members make access to quality care in our rural community a reality.
Our volunteer organizations are always looking to add to our membership and seeking new and innovative ways to serve.
Invest in Community Health
Today, philanthropy is more important than ever. Changes in the healthcare environment have dramatically decreased funding historically available to medical institutions. Meanwhile, the costs of caring for patients, purchasing necessary technology and maintaining a vibrant state-of-the-art facility continue to rise.
Unrestricted financial support allows us to make the most effective use of resources, helping us meet current needs and priorities that may not be obvious to the donor.
Give for Good
We are committed to assisting Fairchild Medical Center in providing full service, technologically advanced medical care to everyone in our community.
Help us continue and enhance the quality patient care Fairchild Medical Center provides to the residents of Siskiyou County and our visitors.
Your Financial Support
Your financial support of the Fairchild Medical Center Foundation helps us to support Fairchild Medical Center and as a result makes a lasting impact upon the health of our community. Programs such as our Employee Scholarship Program, Mammogram Scholarship Program and Healthy Kids Fair have far-reaching positive effects on our community.
We invite our donors to select how their gift is used. You may choose to give an unrestricted gift that will be used where the need is greatest or designate your gift to a restricted purpose such as our building fund, scholarship funds or special projects such as our Healthy Kids Fair or Stop the Bleed.

Annual Community Events
The Fairchild Medical Center hosts a series of annual events to raise money, to educate and to support our local community.
Healthy Kids Fair
The Healthy Kids Fair is an invitation-only event for 3rd-grade students every year in late April or early May. It encourages young students to consider their health an asset they can invest in throughout their lives. During the event, students participate in fifteen-minute interactive sessions focusing on seven key health areas.
The Healthy Kids Fair was started by the Fairchild Medical Center Foundation in 2018 to get local students excited about their health. Since then, the fair has become an annual event that helps kids learn how to care for their physical and mental well-being. The event focuses on:
- Physical Fitness
- Nutrition
- Mental Health
- Oral Hygiene
- Staying Substance Free

Employee Scholarships
To continue providing access to quality health care in our rural area, the Fairchild Medical Center Foundation believes in supporting FMC employees in furthering their education and abilities through continuing education and certification.
The Fairchild Medical Center Foundation awards scholarships to employees from various hospital departments each year. Full-time and part-time FMC employees who have been continuously employed with FMC for twelve (12) months are eligible to apply. All applications must be reviewed and approved by the employee’s direct manager, hospital administration and the FMC Foundation Board of Directors.
Scholarship Details
The purpose of the Fairchild Medical Center Foundation’s Scholarship Fund is to assist hospital employees in advancing their education.
Awards will be limited to $1,500 per employee per calendar year. If participating in a multi-year program, you must apply again each year for additional funds.
Scholarship recipients will have one calendar year to receive and utilize their awarded funds. Monies not distributed within a calendar year will be considered forfeited, and the application/award will be withdrawn.
Questions regarding the Scholarship Program can be directed to the Fairchild Medical Center Foundation Scholarship Chair Debbie Froelich at [email protected]. Applications on average take 30 to 60 days from submission to approval/denial.
Scholarship Funds are available to full-time and part-time employees only who have been continuously employed by FMC for a minimum of 12 months.
Pinnacles Of Giving
The Fairchild Medical Center Foundation depends on generous financial support to fulfill its ongoing mission of sustaining the healthcare services provided by Fairchild Medical Center. Our Pinnacles of Giving members greatly aid our impact in our rural community. They are a critical part of our efforts.
Every year we host an annual event for our members who donated $500 or more in the previous calendar year as well as for our Lifetime Donors who have given $5,000 or more to the Foundation.
