Fairchild Medical Center and Clinics is accredited by The Joint Commission and offers a full spectrum of healthcare services. We are a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital, Certified Stroke Center and Level IV Trauma Center providing excellence in emergency, specialty and surgical care, as well as ancillary services such as laboratory and imaging. Our clinic locations offer outpatient services including behavioral health, dental, pediatrics, express care, family medicine, podiatry, internal medicine and women’s health, as well as other specialty services, including general surgery and orthopedics. Our rehabilitation department includes physical therapy, speech and occupational therapy services.

Clinical Positions

Per Diem

Required Education, Licenses/Certifications, and Experience: The RNFA renders direct patient care as part of the perioperative team by functioning as a first assistant under the supervision of a surgeon with active privileges at Fairchild Medical Center.

Position Responsibilities: Current California RN License. Current California RN License. Successfully completed an approved RNFA course of instruction and met the proctoring criteria. Minimum two (2) years perioperative experience. BLS and ACLS required within three (3) months of hire or transfer.

($69.75 – $84.75 an hour DOE.)

Position Responsibilities: The staff nurse in the Operating Room functions independently in performing the nursing process through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of safe therapeutic care for all patient’s overt and covert needs and/or complications of treatment on his/her shift. Required Education, Licenses/Certifications, and Experience: Scrub Tech Certification preferred. Surgery Technician experience required. BLS required within three (3) months of hire. 

Position Responsibilities: Under the direct supervision of the RN, does a variety of duties in the operating room to assist the surgery team; functions as a member of the sterile team creating and maintaining a sterile field and issuing instruments to surgeons.

Salary Range: $37.50 – $41.25 an hour DOE. Per Diem Rate is based upon experience of individual plus $4.

Required Education, Licenses/Certifications, and Experience: California EMSA License Paramedic Level; S-SVEMS Paramedic Accreditation. Experience Required: Hospital or pre-hospital paramedic experience desired. BLS required within one (1) month of employment. ACLS Required within three (3) months of employment. PALS desirable. Ability to write legibly, spell correctly and perform basic mathematics. Knowledge of Medical Terminology preferred. Computer/typing skills, interpersonal and communication skills. Physical ability to assist with the care of the patients.

Position Responsibilities: The Emergency Department Tech III – Paramedic will perform various patient care duties as described in policy and non-professional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of the patients.

Salary Range: $26.20 – $30.75 an hour DOE. Per Diem Rate is based upon experience of individual plus $4.

Position Responsibilities: The Nursing Assistant performs various patient care activities and related non-professional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients.  Assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment.

Required Education, Licenses/Certifications, and Experience: California State Department of Health Services Clinical Laboratory Scientist License. Six (6) years clinical laboratory experience. Two (2) years hospital supervisory/management experience.

Position Responsibilities: Must be capable of performing all testing in the Laboratory and will be responsible for supervising the daily operations of the laboratory and pathology departments. Must be capable of assuming the administrative responsibilities of the Laboratory in the absence of the Laboratory Manager.

Position Responsibilities: Provides social services to patients in the home, Clinic, or Hospital. Services are provided short term on an intermittent basis for the purpose of addressing social and emotional factors affecting response to medical regimen. Coordinates with other disciplines and community agencies. Documentation must be accurate and timely. This position requires the employee to work and make decisions independently, without bias.

Required Education, Licenses/Certifications, and Experience: Associate degree or equivalent. Prior experience as a hygienist is preferred, but not necessary. Recent RDH program graduates are also encouraged to apply. Fairchild Medical Center offers student loan payback for qualified candidates. Position Responsibilities: A Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) is a member of the dental care team who functions under the direct supervision of the dentist. The RDH provides clinical services within the RDH licensure scope. The hygienist also provides health education to help patients improve and maintain their oral health. The candidate must be self-motivated and dedicated to their role in the Dental Care Team, and follow a philosophy of teamwork and quality care.

Position Responsibilities: Schedules patients for their dental treatment plans/exams. The job requires direct patient contact and extensive phone usage. The ideal candidate should possess excellent customer service skills and show willingness to be an integral part of the dental care team. Compassion, respect, and a desire to learn all aspects of dental scheduling are qualities that the candidate should be able to demonstrate in the performance of the job. This is an entry-level position within the Dental Clinic, but may also include registration job duties. We are willing to train a self-motivated candidate who can work independently. Candidates possessing previous dental experience are also encouraged to apply.

Salary Range: $24.40 – $30.50 an hour DOE.

Position Responsibilities: Maintain for patients, employees and visitors an environment that is safe, scientifically clean and pleasant. Functions under proper supervision to provide maximum bacteriological control throughout the surgical services environment.
