About this Provider

Robby graduated from the University of Utah with my BSN in 2013 and spent the majority of his critical care experience at the Thoracic ICU at Intermountain Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. In 2017 he moved to Arizona to begin his anesthesia training at Midwestern University. During training he had the opportunity to travel to various clinical sites and learn anesthesia from a multitude of practitioners. During training Robby served as a Student Representative to the Arizona Association of Nurse Anesthesiology. He graduated with a Master of Science in Nurse Anesthesia in 2019 and finished the Doctorate of Nurse Anesthesia Practice at Midwestern University in 2020.

Robby has always had a passion for utilizing multimodal enhanced recovery techniques in the anesthesia he provides. The scholarly project he  completed in the DNAP Program was on ERAS protocols following Cesarean Delivery. Applying regional anesthesia and multiple other opioid sparing techniques can optimize a patient’s recovery following surgery. When he is not working clinically, Robby enjoys learning and advocating for full practice anesthesia care for all areas, especially in rural areas of the Western United States. The consistent pursuit of knowledge enables him to continue to advance the anesthesia care he can provide at Fairchild Medical Center. This has enabled him to apply his favorite quote to his personal and professional life, “What e’er thou art, act well thy part.” Or more simply put by Abraham Lincoln, “Whatever you are, be a good one.” As soon as he visited Yreka and met the anesthesia team and other people at Fairchild Medical Center he knew this would be an environment he could apply the knowledge he has about the craft of anesthesia, while continually being motivated to learn more and adapt to changing healthcare environments.

Personal

When Robby is away from anesthesia he enjoys traveling, especially to attend gaming and Lego conventions. He loves spending time with his nieces and nephews and sharing his passions with them. Robby also loves reading novels, especially medieval type fantasy novels. Robby has an extensive collection of Legoes (especially Star Wars) and loves to acquire and collect many other items.
