The hospital pharmacy operates daily to provide medication services to hospitalized inpatients, nursing units, clinical departments, clinics and infusion service outpatients. The pharmacy is here to:
- Provide patient-specific medications pursuant to a physician’s orders to inpatients using unit-dose packaged medications
- Provide protocol-driven, pharmacy-managed antibiotic therapies to inpatients for aminoglycosides and vancomycin
- Offer in-house compounding of sterile injectable medications for hospitalized inpatients and for infusion therapy outpatients
