Fairchild Medical Center Provides Free Diapers to Newborn Families Through Golden State Start

Fairchild Medical Center is now providing 400 free diapers to every baby born at our hospital through a new statewide program designed to support California families as they welcome a new baby.
The initiative, called Golden State Start, has no income requirements and requires no applications or paperwork. Every eligible family delivering at Fairchild Medical Center can receive the diapers before heading home with their newborn.
The program is administered by Baby2Baby on behalf of the California Department of Health Care Access and Information. Each family receives 400 diapers, representing approximately a 4-to-6-week supply for a newborn.
At Fairchild Medical Center, we understand that welcoming a new baby is an exciting time for families, but it can also bring new expenses. Providing families with a supply of diapers helps ease some of that financial burden while ensuring parents have an essential item ready during their baby’s first weeks at home.
Baby2Baby is a nonprofit organization that provides children in need with diapers, formula, clothing and other basic necessities. The organization serves more than one million children across all 50 states.
The Golden State Start program is designed to help give California newborns a healthy start while reducing some of the financial strain that can accompany the arrival of a new baby.
Fairchild Medical Center is proud to participate in this program and provide this additional resource to families welcoming their newest members into our community.
