Fairchild Medical Center is proud to welcome three highly skilled and caring team members to its new Senior Life Solutions program: Karmen Bleich as Program Director, Monica Cooley as Therapist, and Annie Vulyak as Office and Patient Coordinator.

Karmen Bleich, Program Director, brings a diverse background in both education and healthcare. She holds a Master of Arts in Teaching and a Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education from Southern Oregon University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Ohio University.

With seven years of experience as a teacher and coach, Karmen has taught physical education at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. Transitioning into nursing, she has worked in a variety of clinical environments, including medical-surgical, cardiac progressive care, trauma, and orthopedic units. She has also served as a Clinical Nurse Educator, supporting clinical training and professional development for nursing staff. Most recently, she worked as a travel nurse on the medical-surgical unit at Fairchild Medical Center.

This unique combination of educational and clinical experience equips Karmen with a holistic, multidisciplinary approach to healthcare, education, and team collaboration. She shares, “I look forward to supporting older adults in our community with Senior Life Solutions and contributing to their growth, independence, and well-being.”

Monica Cooley, Therapist, joins the program with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, both from Southern Oregon University. She previously worked at a private local agency, providing counseling services to individuals in the community.

Monica expressed her enthusiasm for the new role, stating, “I am looking forward to serving the citizens of Siskiyou County through the Senior Life Solutions program and upholding the mission of compassion, care, and compliance. I believe that the efforts of the team are focused on solution-oriented care that will bring benefits to our community for years.”

Annie Vulyak, Office and Patient Coordinator, was licensed through the state of California as an insurance broker and dedicated over 25 years to serving clients at the same company. During that time, she built strong relationships and developed a deep understanding of the value of customer care—something she sees as vital in her new role. Annie shared, “I am excited to be a part of Senior Life Solutions, as our county has a great need for these services. I look forward to watching our local seniors thrive.”

“Senior Life Solutions fills a gap in care for the largest population of patients seeking care at Fairchild.” said Jonathon Andrus, President and CEO of FMC. “We look forward to the difference this care can make int he lives of our seniors.”
