Respiratory Care Practitioners also provide care during life-threatening emergencies in adult, pediatric and newborn patients.
Cardiopulmonary Department provides progressive tests to monitor the health of your heart. These tests include Electrocardiogram (EKG), Impendance Cardiography (ICG), regular and Cardiolite stress testing.
Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT)
Pulmonary Function Testing or PFTs are used to diagnose the cause and severity of breathing disorders. PFTs help physicians evaluate conditions such as shortness of breath, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, emphysema and asthma.
Sleep Diagnostic Lab
Fairchild Medical Center’s Sleep Diagnostic Lab helps aid physicians in diagnosing sleep apnea. Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) occurs when you stop breathing during sleep. OSA can lead to hypertension, stroke, heart failure, or heart attack.
Our lab is located across the street from the hospital in the Fairchild Medical Plaza. The lab is furnished with private rooms to accommodate patient needs. These rooms include a queen bed, TV, private bath with shower. The lab is staffed with a Polysomographer Technician that oversees the test.
